A- Always make the ‘niyyah’ – intention – to fast before going to bed.
B- Break your fast on an odd number of dates or with water.
C- Clemency is a balance mode of conduct in the holy month.
D- Desist from all forms of indecencies and immoralities.
E- Engage in good deeds for the rewards are multiplied in manifold.
F- Feed the fasting people and share an equivalence of their reward.
G- Generosity is highly encouraged; show kindness to the poor and needy.
H- Have the ‘sahoor’- pre dawn meal- for there is ‘barakah’- blessing- in eating it.
I- Indulge in recitation of the holy Qurán and try to complete it before the end of Ramadhaan.
J- Join the obligatory prayer in congregation and observe ‘Tarawiy’ individually if you can.
K- Knowledge seeking is a tool for the Muslim; attend circles and gatherings for leaning the ‘deen’- religion.
L- Learn the dua’ for breaking of fast and supplicate to Allah while breaking for it will not be rejected.
M- Minimize the rate at which you eat, sleep and talk.
N- Never indulge in evil vain talks, lies and frivolities.
O- Open your heart to forgive others, and then seek forgiveness from Allah and you shall be forgiven.
P- Piety is the goal of ramadhaan, ensure you practice it in your daily fast.
Q- ‘Qiyamil- Layl’ all the night and in sha Allah, you’d get it right.
R- Ramadhaan is a bountiful month, so catch the bliss while it last.
S- Sighting the Sha’wwal crescent signals the end of ramadhaan for the counting year.
T- Tighten your belt in the last ten days to benefit from Laylatul Qadr and earn a reward of a thousand years of worship.
U- Uphold moral values and they’ll become a habit.
V- Verily, ‘Umrah’ done in Ramadhaan is equivalent to Hajj done with ‘Rasul’ (SAW)
W- When someone insults you, say: I am fasting.
X- Xanadu is a nice place no doubt, but ‘Ar-Rayyan’ is the beautiful gate reserved for those who fast.
Y- Your éeman’ boost in ramadhaan, so don’t let it loose after ramadhaan.
Z- Zakatul fitr should cleanse the short falls; give it out early on eid day to make the poor happy.
